The plants were put in on April 13 2008. It was a very dry and windy day. Although I tried to water them enough, it turns out that they were on the dry side.

| The plot selected for the tomato trial is on Upper Mission Valley Road (236) just a few miles from the loop of Victoria. The soil is sandy loam, enriched two years ago with mushroom compost. The soil was disked and then tilled to about 3 inches. About 25 pounds of fertilizer, 13-13-13, was put in the soil while tilling. | |||||||||||||||||||
