The Chinese Fringe Tree growing in the middle of the Sensory Area in The Children's Garden is full of beautiful white blooms
I cropped this photo to zoom in for more details, but the photos do not do it justice.  You have to see this Fringe Tree for real.
Some very good information about the Fringe Tree can be found at Aggie Horticulture PlantAnswers.  Many times when people ask about the Chinese Fringe, they think of the small woody shrub, called Loropetalum, or Chinese Fringe Flower, which also bloomed heavily in our area this year.
Our Chinese Fringe Tree is Chionanthus retusus.  I like the info found

The PAINTING TEXS WITH WILDFLOWERS Committee started this bed of wildflowers from about 50 packets of seeds from Go Texan and Texas Department of Agriculture by the back entrance outside of VEG by the storage building and street.  They were planted last November.
