Uploaded Week of April 12, 2010 No photo can capture the delicacy of this beautiful small tree called Eve's Necklace in the Xeriscape Area on the East Side of the Officer's Club at VEG.

This beautiful small Texas native tree, Sophora affinis is also called Texas Sophora.  It is a relative of the Texas Mountain Laurel, Sophora secundiflora.  CLICK links for information from Aggie Horticulture.

LOOK for PLANT LABELS such as the photo above to help you identify plants and other features at VEG. If you'll notice, the Eve's Necklace is located in the Xeriscape Area of VEG.  You'll want to get up close enouch to see and feel the tiny dangling blooms on the Eve's Necklace Tree.
