What's New At VEG!?! Featuring "things" that you WILL want to see out at VCMGA's Victoria Educational Gardens...

UPLOADED WEEK OF APRIL 25, 2011 Welcome...come out to VEG soon.  You will see many changes in the Daylily Area and you will also see the progress on the NEW Texas Superstar Plant Area which was constructed by the Class of 2010. VCMGA members have also reconstructed the water pond in the Sensory Area.  Pictured below are FOUR splendid looking daylilies photographed by Brynn Lee and also the NEW Superstar Area and Sensory Pond.

This water pond can be seen in the Sensory Area of the Children's Garden.  Children's Garden Chair, Fran Kanak, and Pat Plowman worked on this area to get it back in shape.  They added a new liner, rearranged the stones and pea gravel surrounding the pond and reconnected the pump to the hippo with the water streaming out of its mouth. Parrot Feather, a water plant can be found in the water.  Behind the pond, Confederate Jasmine and Heavenly Bamboo border the pond.  Dwarf Red Bananas are to the right of the pond.     It is delightful sitting by water gardens and listening to the streaming of water. Come out and take it all in.
