Victoria Educational Gardens Water Features

Our main pond is located on the East side of The Officer's Club.  It is surrounded by a tropical garden.  SEE PHOTOS HERE and read about the tropical gardens HERE.

Other water features you may also see at VEG are the following: *Mosaic tile concrete water fountain between the Officer's Club Patio and the Expansion Garden. *Fish pond in center of Children's Garden constructed of concrete by VCMGA members with a metal water fountain designed by Barbara Sparkman, VCMG.  See HERE *Bog garden in the Sensory Area designed with rocks and 45 mil EPDM pond liner with pea gravel filler. *Water lily and black cauldron container donated by Nelsons Water Gardens and Nursery, Katy, TX,  in the Bird Area.. *Disappearing water fountain in the Xeriscape area designed with a blue pottery container. *Water fountain statuary made of concrete at the entry to the garden.

Here you can see the Tropical Koi Pond in the Expansion Area and also the tile water fountain by the patio.  The tile fountain was an original structure at the Officer's Club, built many years ago. See fountain below. READ STORY ABOUT OFFICER'S CLUB SOON.

This beautiful blue, green, yellow and rust multi-color tile fountain was an original feature located at the Officer's Club and was on the steps leading down to the original swimming pool area, which is now the Tropical Koi Garden.  Some tiles were broken on the feature and were replaced by Pat Koening, Victoria County MG. (Another neat mosaic piece can also be found at the entrance to the VEG Command Post.  It was designed and constructed by Cheyl Clark, VCMG.  See photo below.)
